The Stocksbridge Towns Deal has taken a comprehensive and strategic look at the area to ensure this vital and much needed investment can deliver real change and bring jobs and prosperity to the area.
As well major changes to parts of the Manchester Road area, the deal is focused on delivering a range of new facilities, improvements in public realm, better connectivity and access to learning, as well as new cycle ways and walking route links to build on the area's potential as a visitor hub at the gateway to some of the region's most stunning countryside.
Bringing investment to the heart of this proud steel town is key to delivering real and sustainable change for Stocksbridge.
