The Stocksbridge Towns Fund team is inviting expressions of interest from local people who may be interested in joining the board - bringing their skills and local knowledge to the group.
The Towns Fund board is made up of representatives from local businesses as well as charitable and voluntary organisations and groups – Stocksbridge Town Council and Sheffield City Council are also represented.
The £24.1m funding was approved by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities earlier this month.
Three of the projects will deliver a £14.6 million investment in the Manchester Road area. The Towns Fund team would like to strengthen the board membership with a new member from one of the many local businesses in this part of the town.
New members should meet the criteria for the role which includes having a strong local connection to Stocksbridge as well as an understanding and interest in the aspirations of the Town Deal, and the passion for seeing regeneration and investment in the area.
